Jay Chou’s song "Chrysanthemum Terrace" (菊花台 / Júhuā Tái) served as the end credits theme song for Zhang Yimou's epic 2006 martial arts film Curse of the Golden Flower (满城尽带黄金甲), in which Chou also co-starred.
The song earned Chou a nomination for Best Original Film Song at the 26th Hong Kong Film Awards and is widely regarded as one of his quintessential "China Wind" (Zhongguofeng) masterpieces, blending traditional Chinese pentatonic scales and folk instruments (such as the guzheng and pipa) with Western orchestral textures and pop balladry.
